Map Regression Skills

Venue: This course will be taught in the classroom at our Wath-Upon-Dearne site.
Description: This classroom based workshop will introduce participants to the history and development of map production, as well as a range of map reading skills via both lecturing and practical tasks. This workshop will then focus on the use of educational and public map sources, map interrogation skills, and regression techniques used professionally in the production of archaeological desk based assessments.
Themes incorporated into this workshop also include landscape change and development (e.g. landscape economy, patterns, usage, and transportation), further allowing exploration of any social and economic impact these changes are likely to have.
